Olivia's Baptism

Olivia was baptized yesterday! I am so proud of her. It was a beautiful event for our family. There were many friends and family there to support her and we had a nice lunch afterwards. Here are some pictures.
Another little girl from our ward was baptized at the same time. Her name is Ashley.

Olivia was lucky to be baptized on Valentine's Day. She won't forget that!

Here is a picture of most of the family that came to support her.

Dear Olivia,

On this day I want you to know that I know you have made a wonderful and holy decision that will impact you for the rest of your life. Heavenly Father has blessed you immeasurably in so many ways, not the least of which is the opportunity you have to be nurtured and raised within the reach of His glorious gospel. You are a precious daughter of God.

I want you to know that I believe with all my soul that this gospel is true. I know that God loves me and I know that God loves you. I love the Savior Jesus Christ. I feel His presence in my life and He has helped me through all of my trials. There have been many times that I have received confirmation of His presence. At many of these times I have received knowledge and comfort that I could not have received if there wasn't a true and living being providing it. I know that living my life without His guidance, through the Holy Ghost, would be like living a muted version of life. He makes every experience and every joy more beautiful, and He makes every heart-ache and every trial easier to bear and more worth the sorrow. I know that God has restored His church on the earth through Joseph Smith and I know that President Monson is His prophet on this earth today. Being a member of this church has brought me more joy than any other opportunity that I have been given.

As I watched you receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost, I was reminded of how strongly I believe in that Gift. I hope you will strive to remain worthy of this gift and pray for the Holy Ghost to be with you always. Please know that I sincerely believe that God will forgive you of all your mistakes if you truly seek it and if you try everyday to be better than the day before. I know He has forgiven me so many times in my life.

I love you!

Love,
Mom

We so enjoyed seeing all the pictures! It was wonderful to be part of the experience vicariously! It really is amazing how fast time has gone by. All of my kids are amazed at how grown up your kids look. I think they haven't realized that cousins grow up too! Thanks for sharing it with us!

What a sweet post! I can't believe our girls are getting so old! I can clearly remember propping them up next to pillows for our date night swaps when they were just learning to sit up!

I love your new family picture - I can't believe how big Sam is - what a beautiful family!
