Baby #4

Many of you already know, but I wanted to formally announce that Olivia, Ella, and Annie are going to be big sisters (again)! I am 16 weeks along and we are really excited! While this pregnancy was planned, I did have a little bout of denial for the first little bit. I think it was just anxiety about being pregnant again and all the side effects that come along with that. I was sick for about weeks 8-13, but that is much better than my other pregnancies. Right now I am in the "fabulous" part of my pregnancy. I am still tired, but I am really excited to meet this new little person. At this point, we feel like this baby will complete our family and it is a really nice feeling. I probably feel that way because I have always been really impatient to know how things will end up, whether it is a good book or different aspects of my life. For me, this feels like I finally have a good idea how this phase of our family-life will be.

We will have our official ultrasound on January 9th, but I think Mark is secretly hoping to be the one to find out if we are having a boy or girl in a week or so. He is working nights right now, but when he finishes next week he wants to do an ultrasound on me after hours. I'll be sure to post when we know if we will continue the trend or change it up. I personally think it is a girl. I think either way I will feel both happy and sad. I think either way there are pros and cons and so you always feel happy and sad at the same time. I have to say, though, I would be a little freaked out if I found out I was having a boy. It would be great but also a little intimidating. I am so entrenched in the world of little girls, that I think it would really throw me for a loop. Whatever is meant for our family, though, will be perfect, I'm sure.

CONGRATULATIONS! That is so exciting. Boys can be fun too, but girls have much cuter clothing! I wish you all luck with the new one!

Congratulations!!! Baby #4 is sooo FUN!! You'll love that you have 3 big helpers this time. I found it was much easier to have the kids older and they brought me diapers and helped out sooooo much more, I hope 5 and 6 are just as easy! I can't wait to see what your having, but I think it's a boy, at least my boy pregnancies were easier and that's what most people say. Congratulations again!!

Comgrats! I was wondering if you were having another when you put '3 girls and counting' on your blog. So are you due in May? I'm sure your girls will be so excited to have a baby in the house.

Congratulations Traci! I'm glad you're feeling better too. Those first weeks of exhaustion/sickies are horrible! I am excited to hear what you'll have. I understand what you mean about if it's a boy...It's such a different world between Mitchell and Allison. So so fun though! I too was wondering when you put the 3 girls and counting comment. I hope all continues to go well. Looking forward to finding out what you're having. Love ya!

Congratulations! That's exciting. I was relating to many of the things you said in this post. I was in denial the first while of my pregnancy too. And I've always been super impatient to see how things turn out.
Your Ella and Sam are the same age and Annie and my Ella are the same age and these two will be the same age as well. Funny that we're on the same schedule. Too bad we don't live close enough to have them play!
Fun to have a radiologist husband to give you an earlier ultrasound!

Congratulations to all of you! We actually are expecting #4 as well, and due just over 2 weeks after you. How exciting to find out if you'll continue the girl trend or not! We would love another boy to help Elijah get over his habit of wearing his sisters' skirts!
