Mark and I were able to take a little trip to Lake Tahoe while Mark went to a conference there, and Sam got to go on his first airplane ride.
We laid by the pool, went bike riding, and went on a huge hike that was very physically challenging, especially considering I had had a baby just 2 months earlier and that I was carrying him in the baby carrier all the way up. There were times that we were literally climbing up rocks. I was worried about bumping his head as I heaved myself up the mountain. It was a lot of fun, though, and it felt great to be physically active again! Here is a picture of us on our way up. Sam is wrapped in the black fabric wrapped around my shoulders.

How fun, I'm feeling like I need a trip with Matthew right now. I think we're going to try to do something this summer for our 10th anniversary. I hadn't thought about Lake Tahoe, but that's a good idea!
