In the end Olivia wanted a horse party. We hunted for or "corralled" little horse figurines, we bobbed for apples, we had barrel races where we used stick horses and had a sugar cube on a spoon and had to race around obstacles. I would say bobbing for apples was the biggest hit of the party. It seems a little gross to me now that I think about it, but all the girls really got into it and ended up soaking wet. Even Annie tried it (that is her in the picture bobbing for an apple). It was interesting to have 10 little girls running around the house (I have never heard so much excited shrill screaming in my life).
It always amazes me how much it costs to throw a "simple" home birthday party. I might as well have rented out one of those bounce places! It was fun, however, to let Olivia have the theme she wanted and help come up with the activities. It was also great once it was over...now for Ella's party. Luckily she wants the same theme that Olivia had!

Looks like everyone had a fun time!! Your such a good mom for doing that. I tried to get out of it this year, but I think I've realized that it will be difficult and possibly not worth it.
She looks like she had a blast. Glad Ella wants to do the same thing!!
Hey Traci - I just found your blog (via Heather's blog). :) How fun!
What a fun birthday! It will be fun to see how things go with the little blue one coming!! :)
