Sam is 10 days old and we are just loving him! He is a really cute and sweet baby. The thing we have noticed most about him so far is that he is so, so quiet! Olivia said to me the other day that she doesn't really notice him very much because he is so quiet. He sleeps tons (at least 20 hours a day!) and he rarely cries. Even when he's hungry he just kind of whimpers. I'm sure that will all change now that I've become accustomed to him being such an easy baby. Actually, I should have known he'd be like this because for most of my pregnancy I was concerned about him not moving as much as my other babies. It turns out he was just sleeping a lot like he does now.
I think he is going to have brown eyes like Ella and blond hair like Olivia. His eyes are bluish grey like Ella's were when she was born and his hair is a little darker than Olivia's was, but his eyelashes are completely blond.
One thing that I wasn't expecting was having such a brutal recovery. I guess it wasn't brutal compared to a C-section (I'm guessing) but compared to my recovery with Annie, it was a lot harder. With Annie it seemed like I just kind of hopped out of bed and went on with life, but with this delivery I am just now getting out and about. If I get out once a day it is a busy day for me.
Here are a few recent pictures of our little guy!
Here is Sam right before we brought him home from the hospital.
Our first family picture with Sam...you gotta love having a picture taken the day after you give birth!
This picture and the next two are Sam at 10 days old.

oh, traci!!! he is so sweet! love the family picture! enjoy this time while he sleeps a lot. i know it's hard not to be in a hurry to get out and about . . . but these newborn days slip by so fast. i wish i could have just frozen time so i could do nothing but hold my little babies for days and not need to attend to anything else.
oops! that "guest viewer was me!" i was signed in on our "guest viewer to our private blog" account. :)
Hi Traci - It's great to see pictures of your new little one. I tried to talk to Ella about her new brother at aerobics but didn't get too much information out of her ;) I hope your recovery starts to get better so we can see yu soon. Let me know if I can help at all. We miss you ~ Heather
Cute, cute! I love how little he is and how good he's been for you guys! Enjoy your little one and enjoy your down time too!
He is so dang cute! Congrats. OK, I don't know what you mean when you say getting out once a day is enough for one day~I didn't leave my house for 2 weeks after Eliza was born! 4 kids is a new game-eh?
He's a Wilson, for sure! Such a cutie! Congratulations all over again! Here's hoping your recovery speeds up a bit and you're feeling back to your old self sooner rather than later. :)
He is so tiny! And adorable. I love that little sleeper. We'll have to figure out when to get together. Now that preschool is over I don't know when I'll see you!
Awe Traci he is adorable. Thanks for sharing your update and pictures with us. I'll hope you have a speedy recovery and get feeling better soon.
he's so cute! your little family is just perfect.
Yeah, got to love those day after pictures!! He looks wonderful. Congrats guys!!
Oh I just love how he looks like a little Wilson! I'm sorry the recovery has been hard - sometimes I forget how hard it is until I have to go through it again. I hope you can relax a little and slowly get back to functioning how you'd like to. And you have the whole summer to enjoy getting to know him without a school schedule to abide by!
what a darling. he fits right in with the rest of the cuties!
